Grinding is a non-union, single-camera, TV comedy pilot funded by the Johns Hopkins University Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund. The pilot will be filmed in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area.
LOGLINE
An over-the-hill rapper turned middle-manager, G. Gekko, deals with the record label's charismatic CEO and volatile hip hop stars in hopes of reviving his failing rap career.

Thomas is a Navy veteran, improvisor, musician, designer & film-maker, whose artistic voice was born in hip hop culture. After retiring from 20 years of submarine service, he worked as the Managing Director of Baltimore Improv Group. He has since retired and is a full-time creative.

Heather Mari is a Filipino-American actress, improviser, writer, dancer, teacher & content creator. Heather currently resides in Chicago as an inaugural Second City Victor Wong Fellow. Her improv and sketch training includes The Second City, iO, The Annoyance, The Groundlings, and the Baltimore Improv Group.
Jimmy Pope
WRITER | DIRECTOR | IMPROVISER
Jimmy Pope is an actor, improviser, writer & director whose comedic content has been featured on Funny or Die, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Buzzfeed, and The Second City Network. Jimmy currently teaches and performs improv comedy weekly at the Baltimore Improv Group.
